Cashed again. wohoo. It's only ~20 ppl every tourney, but it's not an easy task to do.
Finished 4th BTW, Got knocked out by 3 outer 109 vs 108 preflop. 8 on flop. Yummy.
Currently I'm in the first place in league. Winner goes to Las Vegas next year. Trip and WSOP $1500 tourney entry paid for 1-3 spots. 2 years in the row went to Vegas to play in the tourny for free. Will try to do it for the third time.

UFC 102
It's not really about poker, but I have to share this. I watch every UFC card and I do like to bet on fights. The reason why I'm actually posting this post is that EVERY single fighter BUT one I chose actually won their fights. And I lost only the Couture-Nogueira fight. I love Nogueira, he's great guy, but I honestly thought Randy would beat him. However, the fight was way one sided. So, last fight ruined my perfect score. And I lost some money on that one. Grrr.....
But I won much more othe other ones. So, It was kinda bittersweet evening for me...

107 offsuit - new favorite hand
Finally won my home league game. That was a huge one. Every 10th game we double the points for winner. Out of 9 previous tourneys I made money only couple of times... But this win let me get on top of the leaderboard. Nice. Of course, gotta tell you how lucky I had to get in order to win that tourney.
First dodged bullet- extra aggressive player raises, I reraise all in w JJ and some other guy calls my all in, but he is shorter a little bit. Initial raiser who RARELY ever folds, decides to show his 55 and muck it. I was like, damn I really needed half of his chips. The other guy flips 1010 and board comes 87624. Be careful what you wish for. Would of lost against those 5's like in 16th place.
Ok, almost bubble play, out of 18 ppl we had left only 6. 4 get paid. Blinds pretty high, so even stealing blinds was huge deal. I was kinda shortstacked and lucky me I started getting some face cards and some little pairs. 3 all ins in the row and I'm looking good were I actually don't need to go all in to scare ppl. I get 55 again and decided this time not to push, just to raise. Guy behind me insta shoves all in. I know best scenario for me is a coinflip, maybe even I have only 2 outs. Fuck it, I suck it up and fold. All my blind steals were for nothing. Still on shortstack. Couple hands after I'm on SB and everybody folds to me. Blinds 3000-6000. I wake up with 99 and shove all in the rest of my chips, total 17000. Guy behind me hesitates, counts his chips for 10 times (had around 25000+) and finally folds face up QK. Even though I was ahead, but I was happy to get the blinds only without showdown. Funniest thing- the guy didnt realize that he had 6000 in the pot and needed only 11000 to call. Good lesson to actually follow what is happening at the table.
I squeeze the bubble a little bit and feel safe w 30 k since guy on rigth has only 10k with 3-6 K blinds.
Bubble bursts. 4 ppl left. And here comes my suckout of the night. With huge blinds , my 30000 looks like a midget against everyones stacks. I check my cards-107 off. After thinking for a second, do I let blind myself out, or I fight for possibility to get 1st, I decide to push all in. Button folds. SB and BB are very tight guys, so I'm hoping to steal some chips. SB insta calls. I know I'm done. On top of that, BB calls aswell. WTF!!!!!!!!
SB-AA, BB-AK and mine 107 looks like shit. Flop comes JQK. Not bad. At least now I have some outs. Turn 7. 2 more outs. Yay. Riverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr- 7777777777777777777777777!. Didn't just dodge a bullet. I dodged rocket propelled grenade there... Wow. That was some yummy suckout and some yummy pot. Still 4 guys left, but now I have some ammo to shoot some bitches...
One guy gets busted. Blinds 4-8k I'm on BB. I warn SB not to steal, bcs I will call without even looking. He thinks I'm just trying to intimidate him and pushes all in his 21K after button folds. I call and flip my monster 103. He has smth like Q8 or similar to that. Of course I spike 10 on turn. Same guy who lost with his Aces a few hands back... Better lucky than good...
HU was short and fun. Fun bcs I won again with 107. Second HU hand, guy min raises me, I call flop comes 1047. I check, he insta shoves. I call, he flips A8. Turn blank and going to river he is drawing dead. Congratufuckinglations!
I love 107 offsuit
My soccer team lost in semifinals 0-1. Next Saturday second match. Gotta win this one. Gonna win this one.

Things going a little bit better
Finally made to money on friday in my home league. Played solid, however in final 3 made a donk call. Raised w KJ clubs one guy calls. Flop K910. He checks I bet half pot. He insta shoves all in. I just needed to think a minute longer and I would have layed it down pretty easy, but got couple suckouts right before that and kinda thought my highest pair with straight draw was good and called. He flips AA and I don't catch anything . Out in 3rd place. Bummer.
Cash game was pretty good, didn't donk at all, played solid. And made some money ;)
Our Clubs soccer team advanced to semifinals. Yeah.... however, had to miss another Sunday GTD...Dammit

Crazy last week
It seems, that i'm doing pretty good online, loggin every day as a winning day last week, but for some reason in my home game league I'm doing shitty. Don't even know what I'm doing wrong. in tourney dropped out like 8th, on cash game after played like crap. It's not that people played better than me, just I was playing too bad. Gotta do some adjustments. We'll see how it works this week.
Wasn't able to play in MTT tourney for second time in the row. Damn Summer sucks for poker. Wasted my huge stack for nothing. Had to play in my soccer leagues all-star game.
So far this week is ok, hopefully will finish it strong on Friday in my league game.
Saturdays and Sundays are out for online poker due my Soccer playoffs. Our poker club has a Soccer team and we are doing damn good. We lost only one game and I don't even count it as a loss, since 4 of our main guys were not able to play in that match. We'll do some damage this year...
This Saturday Chicago Charitable Games have a great Deepstcak tourney in my area. However, soccer come first... dammit
ok, I'm a little bit on tilt, so I will finish my other tourney and turn PC off.
I hate poker

Las Vegas Trip
May was pretty good month for me and my bankroll. hehe. I would say 70% of the tournaments I played I finished on FT, winning or placing second at least in 10% of them. Not sure if the numbers are correct, but one thing for sure- it seemed like I was on top of my game. Folding some huge hands, making some great reads and calling some all ins with bottom pair. In my little live poker league I made to second place and won a WSOP trip to Event 4. Bankroll was going up ... What I can't tell about coming back from Vegas trip...But I will come back to that a little bit later.
So last week of May I pack my little suitcase, get on Southwest Airlines and finally land in Sin City. I was going couple days earlier than my buddies, so I decided to go to some upscale resort. I chose Mandalay Bay. Great hotel, Great casino. THE BEST pool I've seen so far. There is a adult pool aswell, you pay like $50 and you can get to see some titties, but I didn't go there bcs didn't want to look like a lonely freak who came to see some half naked women sunbathing. Maybe with friends I would do that, but alone - nah, thanks. Overall the Mandalay Bay is awesome, but staying there alone is no fun at all. So, I was just playing poker in their poker room. What can I say, tournaments suck big time. I played in one, but after I realized that on third level you have chips to only push all in or fold, I decided to stick to cash games. I heard that MB had pretty soft competition, but I was proved wrong. Unless ppl are drunk as hell, they played like nits. Great to steal some pots, but you won't get much money from them. They won't put money in the middle unless they have nuts. To make story short, recorded couple winning sessions and couple losing sessions.
My buddy- Sliekas from PDC arrived in Vegas and we moved to some one of least expensive hotels- Tropicana. Last year we stayed and we had some bad rooms, but they had great 3 tables poker room full of drunk donkeys. This year I got some upgraded room, but oh f..k, there was no poker room anymore. We went across the street to MGM Grand, where people say is the best place to make some money in Vegas. And I have to agree with them. The competition is pretty soft, a lot of drunk loose players. Of course there are guys who are coming just to play with Aces or kings, but these guys leave pretty soon after they get sucked out by some drunk fkk with 107 preflop all in.
We had great time there all week. Played only in MGM. We talked to some PDC guys to meet up in vegas, but only Daduhweehwah showed up. He stayed in Trop with us. Great guy. Funny ass. Him and Sliekas were trying to bankrupt MGM by drinking their free alcohol. All of it. Almost succeeded.
Me and Sliekas were playing our Event 4 on saturday and Daduh was a bummer and was too late to register for the tourney, so he registered for PLO instead.
WSOP tourney was pretty cool, even though I got knocked out with flush draw A5s againt my AK. Flop two spades and K. I pushed all in on flop and hoped that only PDC guys are chasing flush draws, but I was wrong. Guy insta called with his flush draw and of course hit his spade on turn. EEK. Oh well.
Sliekas got busted with KK preflop against AQ. Tough luck. Some other LTU club guys played there aswell. One of them made to money 300 something...
Back to MGM...
And then the fun began. We had almost full week ahead of us, so there was a lot of poker...I didnt have that much fun at a poker table for a long time. Me and Sliekas were playing 1-2 and Daduh was scaring 2-5 tables. I had some fun tables. One night there were some fun young guys and couple of girls playing at my table and couple older dudes who didn't really like us having so much fun. We had so much fun at the table that everybody pretty much forgot we were playing for real money. We even had 8 people wave... First started with 4 ppl, then after our grumpy players asked for table change we got some fresh young drunk blood we started increasing our forces. Wave was getting longer. If we got some new guy and we saw that he was not really into our fun, we would start betting on how long it would take for him to ask for table change. And guess what, 10-15 minutes into the game the new grumpy guy would call a floor person in order to get moved to another table. And once he stood up to leave, the table erupted laughing. Pretty bad feeling for him. Anyway, back to our wave. We finally got almost everyone agree to do it I even tipped the dealer to join us. Good stuff. I have to mention that our table was cut off from cocktail waitress serving us drinks. I couldn't even get coffee. They said it's enough for you guys. Damn that was fun.
Cash wise we all ended up playing poker. These two shmucks were a little bit down with strippers though. Haha. Saphire strip club is huge, but way overpriced. However, a tip for those who didn't know. Any cab will take you for free to any Vegas strip club. And you will even get a free drink. Another tip- don't go to private room for a lapdance. It will cost 15 times more than the same dance in the public area.
Daduh was owning roulette. One day he guessed a number twice in like 5 spins. sick. Overall i was up on rouletter aswell. My 13 hit me twice. Not bad. But I still think to play anything but poker in casino is a sure losing situation.
One more tip if anyone is getting ready to go to Vegas. Play poker in one casino. Get their card and always give it to dealer, once you sit down to play poker. If you log in enough hours, you will get some good deals, maybe even free nights. I did. I came back home and in couple of weeks I received email from MGM to come for 3 free nights in July. Of course I did go back there...
However, even the live poker in Vegas is extremely fun and profitable, after you come back and start playing online poker, you can't get back in your rythm for at least a week. Both times this year after I got back home, I simply couldn't win anything. I'm still making up for my losses after some of my crazy 5-10 sessions. I'm trying not to even open any cash table, bcs I know I will get burned. I will stick to my tourneys I will get my Bankroll back to normal...
Anyway, that's it about my Vegas trip. Of course there was a lot more funny stories, but it will be enough for this time.

MTT Leaderboard
Sorry for not posting lately and sorry for not actually posting at all. haha. Blog supposed to be informative, but I was kinda busy (excuses excuses) ... I will recap last 6 months in couple of posts. Then will disappear for another 6 months...
I guess I will begin with MTT Leaderboard. Starting January 2009 I decided to play more MTT's since actually in tourneys I'm much better than playing cash games. And guess what - I would say results were not too bad.
MTT Leaderboard:
January-1st
February-1st
March-5th
April-2nd
May-2nd
June- spent almost 3 weeks in Vegas, so didn't really play any online poker that month.
July-3rd ( got back from second trip to Vegas and somehow managed to get to 3rd)
But the problem with my MTT Leaderboard is that finals are on Saturdays and I don't really have time to play then due my Soccer League. Dammit. Start playing the game, and play crazy loose justb so I would be make to my soccer game on time. Ugh... Summer totally sucks for online poker...
