Aussie Millions- Second. Again. For the 3rd time now.
Awesome.
Going to HU had chip lead, but blew it in the first hand w 88 vs AA. I'm a bum. Then wasn't too fun to play short stacked, but of course the last hand was a flip w 66 against AK. Too bad K hit on the flop... Congratulations 1GOLDENBEAR1.
3rd time already I finish second in Aussie Millions, when only first place gets paid... I'm so mad at myself for overplaying the 88 in first hand. Even if he would not had over pair, that was a bad move on my part. WTF was I thinking....
Anyway, my bad run with Aussie Millions continues...Wanted to go to Australia with Daduhweehwah, but I guess will have to skip this one... Unless will do anything good in MTT Grand Final...

Sunday GTD- 4th
Argh... So close and so far away.
To make long story short, I had to be out somewhere in 18-20th place like 3 times, but caught my miracle 3 outer. I apologize to those who got sucked out. HaD to play more aggressive in order to make to final table with enough chips to actually play, not to push all in or fold.
So, I make to final table with some chips, get some more and I'm second stack on the table. One of the hands which messed up my streak and totally changed flow of the tournament.
I'm in Early position w 55. Blinds 1500-3000. UTG raises to 8000 (has around 120K), I call(160 K). Everyone folds.
Flop 592 Two diamonds. Flopped a set, but diamonds don't really look sexy there. He bets 2/3 of the flop. I raise. He calls. Another diamond. Damn. Preflop put him on some AK-AQ. After call on flop figure he has some over cards and maybe high diamond.
I know if he has A or K of diamonds, he will call anything. Decide not to go all in and risk my tourney life there on his flush draw. I bet more almost pot size to make sure it was no odds to call with flush draw with one card to come, leaving him with 45K. Surprise surprise, of course he calls. River- 4th diamond. My flopped set looks like shit.
He goes all in, I fold sitting with 60K. I think like 9 players still left. Mid stack, but if not that 4th diamond, I would of had ~350K and that would be some power to push donks around. Oh well.
Somehow I make it to top 4. Still only slightly more than 100K, when everyone has 300K smth. Blinds 5K-10K. Finally get some paint cards- QK of clubs and push all in. Get a call from button w AQ.
Flop two clubs, turn added straight draw, but river totally blank. Oh well. Not bad, but not what I was playing for...
Kinda on a run now, first on HU Leaderboard, first on MTT Leaderboard. There are a few donks a day who still call me bot for playing in multiple games at once and placing in cash in multiple games at once. Funny and sad at the same time. Whenever I check their sharkscope results, of course ROI is at least -20% and graph is going downhill. I guess they make themselves feel much better about their own game, if they accuse winning players of something. Anyway, it's still amusing.
I'm out, just finishing last tourney, in which just flopped nut straight and guy pushed all in w flush draw and no wonder caught his flush on river. Instead of being chip leader w 15 players left, now I am pretty much short stack.

22nd Home League Tourney
2nd this time. It might seem that I always make the money, but it's not the case. I'm just simply running pretty good last few months and pretty much make it to the money in 80% of the tourneys. Not bad. Hopefully will keep this streak running.
Main pot lost in HU:
I wake up with KhJh. I raise on button, he calls.
Flop 87J. Two hearts. Top pair, flush draw. He check, I bet pot. He calls.
5c. He checks, I bet pot. Calls. Around 90K in the pot. River 6d. Not the card I would love to see, but really don't think he would be that stupid to call pot with nothing just to catch runner runner straight.
He pushes all in maybe 30 K left. I have around 60, and pretty much can't fold now. Of course I call. Flips 98. Awesome.

Quote of the Day
To master poker and make it profitable, you must first master patience and discipline, as a lack of either is a sure disaster regardless of all other talents, or lucky streaks
MTT Leaderboard- 6th
I'm a bum. Had to go to soccer game and couldn't leave my team to play without their goalie... So made some bad moves to either double up or get busted out. Of course my 10's lost against JJ. And had pretty good stack to play with.
Dumb me. Oh well

21st Home Tourney
3rd. Played like a mad man before rebuys period was over. Pretty much 3rd place didn't cover my expenses. I was that loose... Lucky me I made it to 3rd and got some money back. Still kicking myself in the butt for crazy plays. My adjustments actually were to tighten up earlier in the tournament and it did work for last few tourneys. But for some weird reason I decided to do some crazy moves today... And most of them didn't work... Oh well.

HU Strategy
For those who are not very good playing Heads Up, but still would like to play in PDC/Carbon Poker Turkey Grand Slam Promotion, here are some tips I borrowed from some other site how to play Head Up SnG Tournaments:
- Skill wins, not luck.
- Be confident and patient.
- Avoid coin flips.
- Avoid loose calls.
- Avoid drawing hands.
- Be the aggressor.
- Know where you're at in the chip count.
- Play according to the chip count.
- When you're about even, patiently build pots then win them.
- When you're ahead, wait for him to make a mistake and win the tournament.
- When you're behind, make all in moves when you have cards pre-flop.
